I'd expect the VIN to start with 369, but at any rate, the 9 means 1969. > It has bullet style turn signals, a cable activated fuel door, and I beleive > IRS. You'd still have to modify the pan and the tunnel, and you should take a GOOD look at the rear subframes because somewhere in the back of my mind I'm thinking there was some difference between MT and AT subframes, at least in the early years of IRS. You'll have to swap the pedal clusters, too, but that's simple. Make sure the AT is good before you go to a lot of trouble, and make sure that it has its proper level of both ATF and GL-5. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
