> can run em back, (anyone know that either?) I opened up a speedo, temporarily removed the internal reduction gear/shaft, and mounted my drill motor chuck right on the little end of the shaft on which the numerals are mounted. It took the better part of a couple of hours to run about, um, 20-30,000 miles, as I recall. I was not winding to zero, but rather winding it to match the mileage of the car whose speedo I was replacing. It was either a silly waste of time, or the most productive time I've ever spent while sitting in front of a DVD. Or something. Note that this was on a speedo *without* tenths; not sure if one of those could take the speed...? -Greg ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
