	I opened up a speedo, temporarily removed the internal reduction
gear/shaft, and mounted my drill motor chuck right on the little end of
the shaft on which the numerals are mounted.  It took the better part of a
couple of hours to run about, um, 20-30,000 miles, as I recall.  I was not
winding to zero, but rather winding it to match the mileage of the car
whose speedo I was replacing.

	It was either a silly waste of time, or the most productive time
I've ever spent while sitting in front of a DVD.  Or something.

	Note that this was on a speedo *without* tenths; not sure if one
of those could take the speed...?
