<x-flowed> I recently bought new B*g tarboards from West Coast Metric. They seem to be of good quality, but are maybe half the thickness of stock. With two sets I imagine you could cut to fit a Type III pretty well.

There are more modern alternatives (dynamat?) which are likely to perform much better.
