You should take it to an automotive machine shop and have them repair that
thread. They can put in a Heli-Coil insert that is the same size as the other
hole so you'll be back with the correct size thread. It might be useful to give
them a caliper and 2 correct metric bolts so that they get the right thread and
the right center to center hole spacing.
You should NOT drill these out to a larger size.
