Hi all, I am trying to find an accurate clock to put in my car. I have 3 of the earlier mechanical ones (10.69, 2.70 & 7.67) running next to my computer right now, which I am adjusting to try and get them to keep good time. They all had popped fuses which I soldered up, and also sluggish mechanisms which I managed to rectify with a bit of light oil. After all that I remembered I had a late one as well so I dug that out to get it working- do the late ones keep better time? I can't see any adjustment on it? The late clock (9.71), has got an electrical movement that doesn't work. When I give it power nothing happens, even if I give the pendulum a flick. I am not really sure how this clock works- it appears that a transistor turns the electromagnet on and off to swing the pendulum. I presume either the transistor or the electromagnet is dead. Are there any clock experts out there? Also, how do you get the movement off the metal case? I have taken the front off, but the face appears to be attached to the back or something. Also, how can I get the little PCB out without damaging the rest of the clock?
