i have been contemplating buying a longblock motor when i redo my engine. so i have a few questions or clarifications... BAP has a complete all stock longblock with new case, casesavers, lots o new parts, and new heads (i think). they have the option of fullflow with fittings, but i don't know if this is ok for type 3 setups. anyone have any experience with these guys, good or bad? one reason i am thinking of this is because i have been told that the case in 1970 is inferior, and should just be replaced when i rebuild. is this true? i don't think i need new heads, but the BAP heads come with provisions for the head temp sensor for my FI. so i figured why not. i want a zero mile engine, but i do not want to handle any of the engine internal assembly. i can bolt on heads and assemble on out, but that is all i want. what are some other options that may be more economical? thanks nathan 70 fastback FI ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
