> Rust is a never-ending battle on these cars, so it pays to get as far > ahead at the beginning as you can, especially if you're learning. I totally agree. About two years ago, I tackled a MAJOR restoration on a '66 Westy Camper. A lot of rust! Since this was my first restoration of this magnitude, it was a learn-as-you-go experience. I was extremely pleased with the outcome, but I now have a better appreciation of what goes into a restoration, especially when dealing with rust. This was also my first experience with painting, so a lot of trial and error. It's really gratifying to know I accomplished all of this myself. You can see the start to finish restoration on this bus at www.busadventure.com P.S.- POR-15 is awesome... use it liberally!
