Re: [T3] Professional Resto

>>I feel *really* sorry for the poor volks who are in this hobby and their
spouse
isn't and doesn't try to understand or go along with it.

me too. when i first was contemplateing the purchase of my first VW, i
talked it over with my wife. she laughed at me and told me she wouldn't
ride with me, and then proceeded to tell me all about how much i was going
to be working on it, etc...all the cliche complaints from people who don't
understand.
i ended up buying our first VW soon after that, convinced that i had given
it enough thought and research. she's been hooked ever since, now she
drives a fastback.

a full resto is likely to cost bucks, but allot of it you can learn to do
yourself. some of it may be too bad to even bother with, it all depends on
how much work you are willing to put in. if money is no option, go get as
many free quotes as you can, but you'll never get the same satisfaction as
doing it yourself, and i think most VW minded people want to do and learn
as much themselves as they can, at least that's how i see it...

good luck, and even if dad doesn't get it (mine doesn't either by the way)
you will never be dissapointed.
