Like I said, they're old frames with new rubber and old glass and only my second (read: "first successful") attempt at assembling popouts (lots of dishsoap, as many bad words, and 2 or 3 bloody knuckles later). Both sets are finished now and I doubt I could dis-and then re-assemble them without losing my sanity. > Also did your "B" post have the slots for the pop out window > "hinges"? <snip> Yes they do, it is my understanding that the difference lies entirely in the frame and hinge portion, not in the glass or body. Those that say they know the difference between early and late model popouts (and conveniently offered to sell me the "late" popouts for mucho spondulix) said there was a difference, I have to go on faith on this one, I really haven't a clue. > I mean VW didn't change the size of the type3 sunroof through its > entire production, why change the window size? I only have the one set of popouts, I was told they are "early" and the one window that I'd tried in the '73 was just enough of problem that I can say that it's either a different hinge, a warped frame, too early to tell, or maybe someone just saw me coming.
