Assuming what you say above, try the following: Disconnect the 3 pin plug from the distributor. Turn the ignition on. Use a short wire to short between the center wire (on the cable end) and one side. You should hear injectors click. Then short between the center wire and the other side; you should hear other injectors click. Each time the injectors click the fuel pump should run for about a second.
