Hi Greg,
The mechanic said it was vapor lock, but you've heard my stories about
HIM. What happens is a loss of power, especially up hills. It's OK as
long as I'm on the flat freeway. When I get off the freeway, like at
Davis, and hit stop signs and lights, I get bad hesitation. The more I
stop, the worse it gets, until eventually there's no power at all when I
step on the gas. I have to pull over, shut off the engine, open the
compartment and let the engine cool off.

Now, I haven't driven The B. in hot weather since I had the big rubber
boot changed (it was a mess) after getting rear-ended last Oct. I've
also tuned her and set the timing right since then. Hopefully, she will
be OK now. I'm planning a trip up to Arcata at the end of April; I'll
see how she does the.ÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊÊ
