Hi Greg, The mechanic said it was vapor lock, but you've heard my stories about HIM. What happens is a loss of power, especially up hills. It's OK as long as I'm on the flat freeway. When I get off the freeway, like at Davis, and hit stop signs and lights, I get bad hesitation. The more I stop, the worse it gets, until eventually there's no power at all when I step on the gas. I have to pull over, shut off the engine, open the compartment and let the engine cool off. Now, I haven't driven The B. in hot weather since I had the big rubber boot changed (it was a mess) after getting rear-ended last Oct. I've also tuned her and set the timing right since then. Hopefully, she will be OK now.
