Ok, I need your advice. I will give the scenario first: I have just had the good tranny from my fastback put into my squareback. The squareback is in the best shape and will be my car going forward. I will also be switching wheels to the squareback. What I am left with is a fastback with damage to the left side from an accident (see pics at http:/jasontsmith.tripod.com/type3/type_3_pictures.htm ), body also has some rust in the heater channels, trunk etc. but not too bad. The engine is good, but the tranny is not (only has 1st gear) and is not connected. So here is what I need advice on. What should I do with the fastback? I cannot keep the whole thing, I don't have anywhere to put it. Should I strip the fastback of the expensive or hard to replace parts for the Square, like the generator, starter, injectors, etc. then sell it? Would anyone want it after I did this? Or should I sell it as is? My big concern is that if I strip it, no one will want it and I will have to send it to the junk yard (I know how bad this sounds). But then again, it would save me a lot in the long run if I had these spare parts. Anyway, you guys get the drift. Any ideas?
