Be sure your get a 68-71 "Type 3" distributor. The one with the fuel
injection trigger points in the base. Be sure the breaker plate is good,
and check the vacuum advance that it is working. Check the centrifugal
advance mechanism. Turn it clockwise, (correct me Jim if I am wrong) and
it should crisply snap back.
