Is your car rusted in the rear wheel wells? One fine Michigan morning after flooding rains, and after I'd discovered how bad the rust *really* was in our 1971 and removed all of the rear upholstery, I drove my daughter to preschool. How surprised we were to find water raining down upon us after we drove through a large puddle in the road -- water from the rear wheels, thrown up through the (unupholstered) wheel wells, arcing over the seats, onto our heads. It did make parking easier, though -- you could look through the holes in the passenger side to judge how close you were to the curb. <sniff> Anyway, take a good hard look under your upholstery and around the rear seat mounts, and examine any cracks in the undercoating underneath.
