[T3] dizzy/carbs/timing

<x-flowed>good day, all.

Okay, with all this ranting about how the .009 is such an evil little piece of crap, and it's ruining my mpg and shortening my engine's life... someone help me out. What distributor would make me & my car happier?

It's a '72, but, natch, FI swapped out in favor of baby Webers by PO.

The Webers do have vacuum ports near the very bottom of the throats - did we ever decide, back when we were talking about such things, whether these were in the correct position to send a usable signal to a dual-advance distributor?

So, a 2-part request: first, anyone with a strong opinion as to what distributor would make my car drive better (not that it drives too badly now - but there's always room for improvement), and last longer, and get better mileage?
and second, anyone in greater L.A. that has & is willing to reasonably sell such an item?
