i have beeen browsing the internet for parts...and have come up with some questions, all related to my '71 squareback for the front door seals i have seen the german seals for around $160, and an econo brazil version for $19. I am sure that there must be some difference, does anyone know? when I called they thought it might be longevity, but i was wondering about just sealing the door, and appearance? basically in my eyes if it works fine, and is not too hard to put on, i would rather save the $140. and maybe replace it every other year for...14 years? I am realizing that my clutch is slipping, so I am planning on a replacement soon. on my bus whenever replacing the clutch, I usually replace the pressure plate and throw-out bearing at the same time...usually comes in a kit. while browsing on line i saw a rigid clutch disc and a sprung clutch disc? why choose one over the other? who sells a kit? I have only seen the parts sold individually. as for spark plug wires, i always use bosch, sometimes, every now and then when putting the sparkplug wire into its little clip/holder, i slice the wire cover. any tips on preventing that? thanks -kevin somerville, ma '65 kombi '71 sqbk ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
