That weight is what's going to lead me to leave mine alone if I find out it is, in fact, installed incorrectly. I can only speak for myself, but having never really done any significant work on another car, I know as a newbie it would be worth it to have everything as it's "supposed" to be as long as the effort wouldn't be too great to get it there (well, effort short of pulling and disassembling the motor). If it wouldn't have been too much of an effort, it would've been good for me to fix it just for simple sanity's sake. I've too many other things to get used to or memorize without remembering than my plug wires are messed up because the distributor drive gear was incorrectly installed. And one more thing -- since I've been on this list I've gotten into the habit of calling it a "motor," when really it's an "engine," isn't it? I always thought the distinction was that engine was fuel powered, while motor was electrically driven. Not that I really care about being correct when I say it (I'm much more twitchy about people saying "anxious" when they really mean "eager"). ;) Oh man.... Been a long day...
