Leon didnt show but Everett was indeed there and sold one of the 29 T34s to a new owner. The 29th left early but was still part of the oficial count. Alot of super lurkers were there. Myself, Lee Hedges, Dave O and others I cant remember. As far as the show being a presentation like you were expecting is a tremendous undetaking. Back in the 80s it still had the bunch of guys hanging out feel. The 90s brought out the staged super customs and it seems the melenium has brought a corperate feel. It kind of runs it self sort of. I worked the show with my buddy Ron and I can tell you the sheer mass of VWs tends to get overwelming at times. You get everything from super nice people to uber asses. People not caring and ignoring your direction to people asking a million questions. But all in all its great to see a sea of VWs! The Classic weekend brings out some of the best the hobby has to offer. The swap is always good. I got a nos 61-63 grey arm rest and push buttons from Dave O, thanks Dave and I got to speak with Alex of ISP first hand about items hes produced and is planning to produce. If anything from working the show and checking things out I missed out on the social aspect of the show. I was nowhere near my car for most of the day.
