This is interesting. I've only worked over a couple of seats, but all of them had a kind of heavy cord here, rather than a wire. The seats I've done were a 69, which had already been redone once, so may not have been stock any more, and a 73, which was definitely stock. Anyone else ever seen "string" here? BTW, I was able to buy a VERY long needle from my upholstery shop to re string these. It's kind of cool to push this long needle in one side and watch for it to come out the back.
