Re: [T3] Front hood springs-oops

I'd like to give Russ a BIG THANK YOU for going over and beyond as far as
help. I didn't know where the hinge end of that spring went, until he told me. I
did get those springs in today. This is a job not for the faint of heart. I
ended up building some little brackets to capture the spring about 1.25" from
the end of the coils, and with a small 1/4" "U" bolt, I was able to hook my come
along to it and pull it into position. This was very scarry for me stretching
this big spring into position, but I did get it. If I never do another I'll
be very happy. The hood opens fully now and stays in position like its supposed
to. Thanks again to the list and especially Russ. I owe you a tall cold one
for that.
