I got my engine started and everything running, now I just have to fine tune the timing. It turns out I didn't have to do much electrical work. In my last post I mentioned the crossed wires and ground I rectified, well, I went under again to test the wires to the fuel pump for juice and when I did that I noticed that I hadn't replugged it...so, I fixed the problem last night and didn't even know it=) Tomorrow I plan to get back to adjusting the ride height, then the camber and toe in. Hopefully it won't take any longer than two nights of work. Anyhow, it looks like everything is squared away and Rosie will be ready to get back on the roads, and in a much better condition, by my personal deadline: August 1st. Thank you EVERYONE, for the advice, parts, support, the ability to prove my doubters wrong about me being able to fix it and then about being able to get it running by my deadline, etc. I began knowing next to nothing (not even the difference in gasoline octane, or about why oil was even used) to fixing and improving the engine, fixing the front end, adjusting and fixing my breaks, as well as a number of minor electrical repairs, all in about 3.5 to 4 months (I bought Rosie only a week before it broke down and haven't driven her--minus backing into the driveway--since, and I can't wait to take her out again). I've got one question regarding gas: would it be better for my car to alternate between 89 and 91 octane when I fill up (to try and keep it around 90), or would 91 be even better? Thanks again.
