<x-flowed>I think there must have been a kit, as I saw one up close at a VW repair 
shop near Waco, Tx. Older body style body. The owner said he was going 
to make it his shop truck. I checked back a year or so later, and he 
said someone wanted it bad. Sold it for like $4500, paint, body, and all 
the other stuff fixed up. The work when I saw this one looked like 
someone tried to do a good job.  I still think it needs a extended wheel 
base.

I look at it as maybe they saved one, instead of sending it to the crusher.
