Wait a second. I'm not clear on this. > A trick to adjusting the valves on an Air Cooled VW. > Put the engine on the timing marks. (either #1 or #3 doesnt matter) > Now get under the car, and find out which one you are on. How do I tell which one I'm on from under the car? > Adjust the valves on that cylinder, and the intake on the adjacent > cylinder. Adjust the exhaust valve on the opposite cylinder (#2 or #4). So you're saying - If I'm doing #1, set the engine to #1, adjust the intake and exhaust for #1, AND with the engine still in place, adjust the INTAKE on #2, and the EXHAUST on #4 as well? Please clarify. -- Mike Wodkowski 72 FI SQBK Brooklyn wodkowski@mac.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
