Jim, et. al.; I apologize for not being clearer: the engine is a 1972 (based on the part number on the crankcase which I posted and then got a response that it was a 72 Dual Carb). The PO had the engine replaced and then converted it to electronic FI (or perhaps it came that way, I'm not positive). Although it is possible this car has had more than the 2 engines I am aware of. Someone on the list noted that it is likely they ordered this engine from Europe, so I'm really going on nothing I can verify myself=) Again I failed to explain well enough: I was able to figure out where on the air cleaner the AAR connected, but wasn't sure which port on the AAR itself connected to the air cleaner, and which port connects to the AID. I would assume it either doesn't matter or if it does that it would be the lower one. So yes, it is a 72 engine...what does that mean the 3/16"s port on the AID is? I've only got two ports on my air cleaner, one which is 15/32 (the same size as the port on the oil breather) and one which is the same size as those on the AAR (although I don't recall the size off hand and I'm in too much of a rush right now to check). It is based on the size that I am doing this on, but I wanted to be certain. Sincerely, Christopher J.
