That sounds about right.  I think it took me 5 days to cross the country.
We did about 350 to 650 miles per day depending on the terrain.  The
mountains take more (and time to see the scenery) and the plains will let
you just put the hammer down.  I Did the whole trip in 2 weeks, that
included the trip out to visit Toby and back.

12 hours on the road isnt bad, 14 gets pushing it... best to leave time if
you have it for minor side of the road repairs and such too.
