Have you checked your timing? IIRC, this can be caused by either faulty timing or a faulty starter. -Ben '71 Fastback -----Original Message----- From: Steve Friedeck [mailto:friedeck@sbcglobal.net] Sent: Sunday, July 20, 2003 5:01 PM To: type3@vwtype3.org Subject: [T3] starting problem I'm rebuilding the motor and I don't want the same starting problem it used to have, it wouldn't restart once it was warmed up. It would barely turn over, but would push start. After it sat an hour or so it was fine again. 6 volt 66 fasty. My 12 volt type 1 does the exact same thing, so I'm guessing this is a common problem. Any suggestions? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free.
