I think you posted that you at one point backed the adjuster ALL the way out of 
the rocker. This is impossible with swivel foot adjusters, so you don't have 
them. They are a worthwhile upgrade for any engine, but not a solution to this 
problem.

If your rockers had not been clearanced for them, and you had them, they might 
have caused this problem, but I don't think this is the case.

Your adjusting screws just look like a plain slotted head set screw, right?
