Must be a Mt. Carmel man! I had heard that the owner was a teacher?? Everett? Back in the mid 80's when I attended we had a strong T3 thing going. I had my 68 fasty, Mario had a 68 square, a dude named Chris had a gumby green fasty, and another guy Chris P. had a 65 notch. Chris Ps notch was the first I had ever seen. We kind of chatted between classes about VWs from time to time. Unfortunately he was involved in a wreck in another car and was killed. About 10 years later I met a gentleman who had recently restored a radical (engine wise) 65 notch. Unbenoced to me it was his father that had restored it in memory of his son I had known years prior from school. Weird how the world works that way. I lived in the same town at that time and graduated from a rival high school there in the same year, 1980. I don't remember ever having seen a Type 34 Ghia in the time I lived there. Years later I developed an interest in Type 3s and for some reason I decided I really needed a Type 34, so I found a white 1963 model and I've owned Type 34s ever since. Who knows? Maybe I saw Everett's car on the road 25 years ago and made a subconscious mental note to buy one just like it one day? Could've happened... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
