I usually plane the intake manifolds where they bolt to the head too.

I have a spare Squareback vent window that works nicely as a flat surface.

I have a couple spare '64-'66 balance tubes if anyone needs one.
'64-'66 single port use a large diameter balance tube
'67-'69 dual port use a small diameter balance tube
