<x-charset utf-8>Well I'm finally starting my "parma" rebuild, about 1 year too late! Its humbling because I cannot even figure out how to put the distributor in at this point! The Wilson book shows various pictures, giving the angle that the notch line in the distributor pinion is supposed to make with the case line. He says 60 degrees for a type 3, but if I do that then the notch marking number one on my distributor not pointed in the same direction as in Mr. Wilson's picture. This is because his #1 mark has a different relationship to the vacuum can than I have for my distributor(s). I cannot seem to find any help in the bentley manual but I do see one picture looking down on the distributor where you can see that the relationship of the "number one" mark and the vacuum chamber is different from what I have and the same as what Wilson has, other pictures in there look like mine. I have a 311 905 205 AC distributor (and spare AB and L distributors and these all look the same) I realize a picture would help but I don't have a digital camera. Does anyone (1) know what I'm even talking about :-) (2) know how I should orient the dizzy. It's a 71 engine Thanks!
