Daniel: I'm sorry that I haven't been following your problems very closely, have you checked your mechanical advance? I've had a few Auto T3s and one in particular was so slow that although it looked great (new paint, etc) I had people yelling from behind me to 'get that piece of shit off the road!' I did as Jim suggested and turned the rotor clockwise, it did not snap back into place. I did a partial disassembly of the distributor (easy and very satisfying) and after carefully cleaning and lubing the weight assembly with engine oil I had a new car, I am not kidding. This was the single most significant performance-restoring procedure I have ever done on a T3. I now take great pleasure in taking apart and cleaning up these distributors!
