Not sure about the heat, but I know if ONE of the
chambers is below a certain voltage, the battery will
never *hold* a charge capable of starting the engine.
If one of your chambers is damaged, it could just be a
battery defect... My battery made it through that
summer of 30 95F days a couple years ago... I'd
imagine modern automobile batteries are made to take
into account temperature differences across North
America...
