Thanks. Yeah it felt great to finally take it for a ride. We've been working
on this thing since last summer (in our spare time, doing that father and son
bonding thing), and just picking away at it. We're still looking at redoing
parts of it, as there are some things we still need to address, and he's still
thinking about repainting it some other color other than the black its
currently wearing (it was cheaper to paint it that color than anything else), but he
hasn't decided on what color that will be. He also wants to put IRS on it too,
but that will be either later this summer or next year. At least he learned
something about welding steel (fixing the rusty sections), dent removal (working
with bondo and filler primers), mechanical parts (engine, front suspension,
brakes, etc..), electrical (running the harness through out the car, and wiring
the gauges and lights and engine), fuel system (rebuilding the Solex 32's,
and cleaning out the clogged main fuel line), so now he has an idea what a car
needs just to be able to run on its own and go down the road safely. But, yeah
thanks.
