<x-flowed>I did something similar once, I hooked up a battery charger to my '73 
square a shut the passenger side door on the charger, later that evening 
I went for a test trive around the neighborhood and I kept hearing a 
dragging  noise.  When I pulled back into the driveway I saw the bright 
orange extension cord that was streached out down the drive way.   I had 
been dragging the charger around the neighborhood.  The Battery charger 
was pretty beat up, but it still works fine 4yrs later.
