Just did a search on "spring-loaded" at shoptalkforums.com and a quick look shows just about as many people who say, "NO! Don't!!" as do "yeah, they work perfect with the expansion/contraction of the engine/heads." Go figure. I just remembered a thread somewhere (maybe on shoptalkforums? Couldn't find it this time) that threw such a fright in me regarding these that I put it on my "never use" list. I guess YMMV.
