My 71' "French" notch doesn't have reverse lights neither, no wiring,
lampholder or switch. This doesn't surprise me as reverse lights were not
required by law back then, so they would only offer it as an option. I
believe this was like that in most European countries.
As a funny side , because of "non working reverse lights" I was controlled
by the cops for the first
time in my life in Europe. I quickly understood they just wanted to know
what the
hell this car was!
