I did see linkage ends at a performance carb shop one, they had several
different sizes, and all sorts of other carburettor related linkages and
rods etc. to make up a custom linkage.

I have wondered though- would it be possible to get some sort of half round
nylon bushing that could clip over the ball and take up the slack? Mine are
worn too, particularly on the short linkages that go from the choke lever
down to the throttle shaft. I am not sure weather the balls are worn or the
sockets, but if there was something that could be clipped in there it
wouldn't matter, and take up the slack of both.
