Type 3 automatic transmission was 800DM. It's interesting how many different types of Type 3 were on offer: Beetle 1200 4525 Beetle 1500 cabriolet 6957 Type 14 Karmann ghia 7512 Type 14 KG Cabriolet 8189 Notchback, fastback 45 HP 6575 Notchback, fastback 54 HP 6695 Variant 45 HP 6765 Variant 54 HP 6885 1600L Notchback, fastback 45 HP 6950 1600L Notchback, fastback 54 HP 7070 1600L Variant 45 HP 7240 1600L Variant 54 HP 7360 1600L Karmann Ghia (Type 34) 9145 The fastback was called the 1600T and the 1600TL, depending on the trim level.
