As a former longtime Registry member I agree completely. I've had my disagreements with the group, but I'm really glad it exists and when I get started again on my Type 34 restoration I plan to rejoin. The Registry's quirks and faults are a small price to pay for the information and help available. Whatever one thinks of Lee's management of the group, it's important to remember that he's spent years working to raise the profile of the Type 34, which before the Registry's PR efforts was an obscure model indeed. I bought my first 34 before the Registry existed, and believe me, there was no information available, no sources for parts, nothing.
