Several years ago I bought a bottle of POR15 Wax Prep, designed to be used to prepare a dirty/oxidized paint job for waxing. I think it's basically a mild solvent -- not only does it clean gunk off of the car, but the rag you use to apply it begins to match the color of your car perfectly as you work. ;) Yeah, it's a little alarming, but it is amazing stuff, apparently (as far as I can tell) exposing the still-new, unweathered paint just under the surface. Well, I called them, and they don't sell it any more. Does anyone have any recommendations or warnings of different brands of similar stuff? Also, I don't see their "pure carnauba wax" listed on-line. What brands and flavors do folks recommend for the best-possible waxing of original paint? It doesn't have to be easy or super cheap... I'm looking for top-notch. -Greg ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
