There needs to be a "seal" which looks like a large rubber band between the nipples and the hose on each end. Unfortunately you can't usuall tell whether this "seal" is in place by just looking at the assembled parts. I wouldn't take it apart just to check; it's a pain to get put back together right. BUT if someone else replaced the tank, there is a pretty good chance they left the seals out, JUST BECAUSE they are so hard to get in there correctly. Fill up the tank and check there (and in the RF fender well) for leaks.
