Try to get it without the strands, as they also make it with them (its called tiger hair around here, and I only use it if the repaired area is really bad), but any generally available fiberglass will do the job as most are basically the same. Ben's idea of using por 15 is a good one too, but I haven't tried it yet (still learning after all these years, and am starting to play with other things that will help save my VWs). I've been playing with por 15, and tried John J.'s method of fixing the rear floor of my square with it worked good, thanks John : ) ), but I'm still working on other uses for it and trying to find out what it likes and doesn't like. Granted I live in the salt belt, so I do have some experience working with rust, but I'm still learning about what fixes it permanently, if there is such a thing. I've been trying to contact my county road commission to find out how much salt per mile they put down, but haven't found anybody willing to give me an answer yet, but I figure its more than 200 pounds per mile, judging by how white the roads are compared to the amount of snow we received. :( I hope this helps. ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
