[T3] Paper Fasty
<x-flowed>The guy had an accident and was in a cast (maybe still is, cant'
remember...I've slept since I read the article) and was not able to do
much of anything. He started messing around with some paper and glue
to build a model of a type3 engine from memory from his youth. It
just kept getting more in depth, and before too long, he had whole
car. It wasn't finished, but looked really cool, considering the
materials and build from memory. The last step he was considering was
another skin of paper to smooth out the "body work" and panel lines.
I could not believe the detail....he even had pan bolts, all the
suspension, tires rolling, armrests, glovebox, cable pulls for the
front & rear bonnets, windows, etc...
I have the magazine at home, so I can't look now....I looked on the
website (www.europeancarweb.com), but nothing there. It is just a one
page article with pictures in March 2003 issue.
