How can I work into this thread my story of driving from L.A. to Phoenix in temps reaching 105F in my '71 Squareback -- towing my '63 Beetle! ;) Sure got lots of looks that day. :) It was much later that I noticed that the hitch had a 1000lb. weight limit.
