the part should be  a chrome metal plunger that is about 3/8 inch long and 
maybe 3mm wide (like that crossing of units of measure?).  anyway, i do not 
know if the carb should run 'correctly' without it or not.  i am having the 
hole mic'd and made in our high school metal shop tomorrow our of stainless 
stock, so we should be fine.  the parts carb, was apart when you gave it to 
me, and this plunger would not have stayed in the orifice.
