Paul, I agree with Toby, a very good looking conversion. I was asking about this very set of pics a while back, it's exactly what I would like to do with my 1600. Any more info available on just what you did to complete the hookup? This is a 55 amp, isn't there a Type 1 alternator with 70 amps available also? Did you have to remove part of the alternator to fit the sheet metal on your Type 3? I realize it's alot of questions but this could be the answer that I've been looking for and the solution I need to get me off my arse and finish my motor. Now, if only I could finger out the linkage problems with the stock air cleaner....Once again, nice work. David Walters '73 1600 L Notchback S.
