The only thing you would gain is what is called Net Positive Suction Head (NPSH) which just means that you have more pressure at the suction of a pump. This is only critical in a centrifugal pump or a piston type positive displacement pump but it might help a little by keeping any gases (such as nitrogen or oxygen or even fuel vapor) in solution and not forming into bubbles which would cause you to run lean. Now if you are running FI then the more gas you have in the tank the better it is for the pump.
