I was fairly certain the later square nose T3s were assembled from CNKs. The paint I am certain was applied in Australia as well. I do not know about the earlier round bonnet ones. The imported ones have the VW ID plate while the KND ones have only the ADR compliance plate, and a wattle australia sticker with the paint code. I have some late model lenses (front and back) here that have moulded into them "Hella- Made in Australia."
