Just a thought..... But what of the control unit?Is it original ? I have read that they were calibrated to the individual car and just willy-nilly using one that seems to fit can cause all kinds of problems If you've changed engines then are you sure that the cpu "knows" that it's a different engine with slightly different parameters? German electronics can go bad and intermitant electronic problems are usually of the hair pulling kind. 'David V.
