I ended up buying a heat gun as that was cheaper than a disposable torch, the heat gun was $44, and the cheapest torch was $59! I got it all off and painted it with POR-15, and sealed all of the seams with POR patch, so hopefully it will be better protected now. The undercoating that was still soft was really stuck on there well, so I think it was probably good stuff, but unfortunately most of it had gone hard so I decided it was better to take it all off now, rather than paint bits and have the rest start to go hard and rust further down the track. On another note, there are some numbers on the rear shock mount, just above the spring plate. They are white stencil, and say "TL,S,2,1". Anyone know what these are for?
